One Year Blogiversary Giveaway!

Congratulations to our winner, Alaina Dawson! Thank you so much for participating, everyone, and thank you even more for reading our blogs! We love you!
Happy One Year Blogiversary! On this day one year ago, I was poised in anticipation in front of the computer, staring trance-like at a blank bright white screen, willing the words to come to me as I formed my first piece about the Moon being captured in a grainy photograph like a novice potter forms the clay. Admittedly, I still do this sometimes (the staring part); but somehow, magically, by the forces of the blog gods, I was able to crank out ninety (almost 100!) posts this past year. So we are going to celebrate this occasion with a meteorite jewelry set giveaway, woohoo!

Even though I could’ve waited until the big hundo to do this giveaway, I’m gonna do it ten posts earlier because that’s how much I love you. Truly, madly, deeply. I mean, I want to stand with you on a mountain top….okay, okay. I’m getting carried away now. What truly, madly, deeply makes this giveaway so dang easy is that all you have to do is drop a comment below about one of your favorite blogs that I’ve written. Since I said favorite, I hope this means that the comments will be warm and fuzzy; however, if you feel compelled to share a positive critique, I’m always open to your thoughts.

I mean, I know you’ve read every single thing I’ve ever written, so yes, it’ll be hard narrowing it down because each piece is top-notch in its own way (I appreciate you saying so); but once you do, give me some love and I’ll write your name (with a cute heart above the i’s) on a wee piece of paper and draw the lucky winner on Friday, March 27th. That means you have until 11:59pm EST on Thursday March 26 to enter! Remember - all you have to do is comment below with a link to your favorite blog article of ours that's been written in the past year. We will follow up with you via email to gather your details (y'know, like shipping address and whatnot!)

As always, I write these spectacular blogs because I know it brings you joy, as well. And since my name is Brittany Joy, it’s practically my duty. But really, thank you. Thank you for letting me use this as a healthy outlet to keep me sane and creative and using my brain for things other than worrying about superficial stuff when the world we live in is insanely fascinating and magical. Thank you for sharing my wonder.

I truly, madly, deeply love all of your blogs! My favorite is about the Glenn Research Center. I wanted to visit it over Spring Break but their monthly tours run April – October and alas, I’m not leaving my house right now. I love everything space related, but I also loved the scene filmed at the research center when Loki (hubba hubba) comes through the portal. I love your writing and love the jewelry you guys create! Yugen Tribe gets me!

You guys have such interesting posts and I cannot choose just one as a favorite! However, I remember reading about John Glenn in elementary school and being fascinated with space (Star Trek oh yeah!!) so this one really stood out to me. Keep up the great work and hang in there, things will get better!

I hope this isn’t a cop-out, but I really appreciated your post on the coronavirus and how it’s affecting small businesses. It’s inspired me to shop locally for the foreseeable future and pick up food at local restaurants a few times a week. So thank you so much for sharing.

    My fave was this:

Loved reading about Amy and Lanchen’s beautiful work and the humor and tone of the interviews were so fun!

A simple answer to my favorite blog post. Gratitude for a simple picture, people supporting each other, and the reality of understanding that only 50ish years ago mainstream people were finally understanding the concept of space and it’s beauty ♥️
